And with it the inevitable look back over 2007.

This year I have:

* had two bosses
* moved desk twice but still remained in the same role
* been to France on holiday twice
* eaten at KFC on at least six occasions
* had Special Curry and Chips from the local Chinese Takeaway on at least 25 occasions
* bought my first ever iPod (with lots of help from my cuz!)
* realised that I could use an iPod with a much larger capacity
* lost some weight
* put some weight on again
* been ill
* had a tooth removed (and still in pain…)
* taken my friend Chris to hospital after he got knocked down by a hit-and-run driver
* prayed regularly with Pete, Nick and Seamus. And sometimes even James!
* told my two sons to stop arguing/fighting/shouting/throwing/kicking/etc. about a bajillion times
* told Mrs G-T that I love her (but not enough times)
* not spoken enough to BabeG-T
* spent too little time asleep
* which may not have been helped by the gift of a Nintendo Wii
* bought a new washing machine, tumble drier and TV
* put TIM in for the service of a lifetime. In May. And soon he’ll be back. I hope…
* completed the Three Peaks Challenge. Yes, as crew but it was still hard work and I still got a medal!
* been to watch live Banger Racing twice. It’s great! You should do it.
* made some new friends
* regained contact with some old friends
* came top 5 in my company ‘Safe Driver of the Year’ competition
* watched every episode of Top Gear. Not all the repeats – I do have a job!
* watched every episode of The Long Way Down. It wasn’t as good as The Long Way Round though.

In the main it’s been a great year. Let’s hope 2008 is even better!

Happy New Year to you all. (And yes, I know it’s a bit early but who’s going to be sad enough to be typing up a blog entry on Hogmanay (aka New Year’s Eve)?

As we enter the final run up to Christmas a survey by Theos has discovered the incredible lack of knowledge about what this event is about.

Today my buddy Rob and his lovely wife celebrate the arrival of their new son. He was born weighing 6lbs 11ozs and was delivered by Caesarian Section.

Exactly six years ago, Mrs G-T and I (Rob) celebrated the arrival of our new son. He was born by Caesarian section, and weighed 6lbs 11ozs.

Happy Birthday MiniG-T and MiniW!
