Yes, this weekend we’re off to France again for another holiday. This one’s in an effort to distract MiniG-T from going back to school as he’s a little worried about a different class with different people in it.
So, we’ve booked the cheapest French holiday we can get – camping. Please refer to my previous post about camping for Mrs G-T’s normal reaction… so you can see that we must be really keen to go!
Don’t know how to update WordPress cheaply from abroad, and I’m certainly not taking my work laptop with me, so you may hear nothing interesting until I get back to the UK in a week and a half or so…
Tim Worstall has a piece on the Adam Smith Institute blog about drugs and the general attitude towards them. Amazingly, the Government are asking for our opinion on the legality or otherwise of them.
Having worked with people who live on the streets of London a few years back I’m well aware that the issue is not as simple as we’d perhaps like to believe. I don’t necessarily agree with Tim’s position.
However, it would be daft NOT to give your views when you’re asked for them. The link to the HMG survey is here.
Tim’s article is here.

I’ve finally made it onto The Simpsons, thanks to “The Simpsonizer“!

Congrats to BabeGT who got her exam results today. Enough passes to take up her place at Uni after the summer break. Well done sweetheart!!

So, Apple announce the new imac. Looks smooooooth! More here.
I don’t write about politics really. I’m not entirely sure where I sit on the left/right thing. However, I’m a big fan of common sense, enforcing important rules while reducing daft rules and justice for all.
So, when Will Rogers is quoted as saying “the more you read and observe about this politics thing, you got to admit that each party is worse than the other. The one that’s out always looks the best”, I’m right there with him.
Whatever happened to being in politics to help the people?
