If you have had the misfortune to download the Intego Anti-virus software for Mac on your machine, you may well have decided that you want to get rid of it and that’s not as easy as you think.
I used AppZapper to try and uninstall but it wasn’t that successful (for the first time ever I might add…) but this did the job:

At last my Mac has reverted back to its pre-Intego speed. Whew!
