Andy’s glucose levels have taken a turn for the worse this evening. Can you please pray for: • the glucose level to reduce to a level that’s acceptable • Andy to be able to relax and have a calm night’s sleep • the rest of the family to have peace about what’s happening right now. [...] Good news! Andy’s level has come down to 0.3 millimas which is nicely on track to hit 0.1 by tomorrow lunchtime (hopefully!) He also had a visit today from a friend who, although they’ve been in touch, he hasn’t actually seen for a very long time. On the downside, his glucose levels are very high [...] It seems that, for no particular reason, yesterday wasn’t a good day for Andy. I know he was very tired which can’t have helped. His spare cannula had to be taken out which leaves only the main one, and last time this presented a problem when it had to be replaced. So, today’s specific prayer [...] Last word from Andy was that he was OK, but very tired. I haven’t heard anything more this evening, so please look over Update #2 and continue to pray for the hydration, levels to return to normal and for the whole family. Thanks for supporting Andy, and don’t forget that you can also support Andy’s [...] Further update from Andy, with some clearer vocabulary than I used last night! The drug has been infused. He received more hydration and today will also receive another non-chemo drug to help with the excretion of the chemo. Andy will have daily blood tests, starting at 12.30pm today and each day at he same time. [...] Hi all. Wow! What a response yesterday! Within an hour of posting the request for people to pray for my buddy Andy, the post had gathered the most people reading it in the history of this blog. In fact, within four hours more people had read about Andy than have the read the ‘About Me’ [...] It’s been quite a while since I wrote on this blog, but really I’ve been waiting for something worthwhile saying.
